In the series "Talking about Art", the museum Ostwall präsentiert artists from the collection who talk about their attitude towards art and aware of this deep insight into their work and thinking.
Wolfgang Feelisch (born 1930) founded the VICE-Versand in 1967. Basic works of the collection area to "Happenings and Fluxus."
Jochen Gerz (born 1940) was known for his public actions in public space in the 1970s when he also began working with video and performance.
Thomas Rentmeister (born 1964) often works with everyday objects and "found" object, which he transforms with a hint of irony.

Freya Hattenberger (* 1978 in Offenbach) studied at the KHM in Cologne and sets herself apart in their work with the network of relationships between body, space and social environment.
Hans Breder (* 1935 in Herford) deals with the individual art forms and founded in 1968 the Intermedia Department in the United States.
Otto Piene (b. 1928 in Laasphe) was a cofounder of the Zero Group and was known for his smoke images, light sculptures and light ballets.

The Dusseldorf based photographer Thomas Ruff is next to Andreas Gursky, Thomas Struth, Candida Hofer and Axel Hutte internationally one of the best known photo artist in Germany. He was known since the late 1980s with his large-format portraits. With series such as jpegs, nudes or m.a.r.s.
Over two years we were allowed to accompany him during his creative process, taking pictures and hanging his exhibition in Münster.

Born in 1839 as the son of British parents in Paris, Alfred Sisley counts - next to Monet, Renoir, Degas and Pissarro - to the most important representatives of the French Impressionists. With its gentle, sometimes dynamically vibrant landscape paintings, the paintings of the Cathedral of Moret-sur-Loing and Storr's Rock Sisley wrote art history.
The film goes in search of clues to the original places in Paris Moret-sur-Loing, Barbizon, on the banks of the Seine and the Thames, as well as in London and the Welsh coast.

Vija Celmins is a very special artist with her different works like heaving oceans, arid deserts, spreading night skies and intricate spiders’ webs.
Since the late 1960s, this American artist with Latvian roots has used photographs of the four motifs as subjects of her oil paintings, pencil or charcoal drawings, and many different print techniques.
We were allowed to accompany her at the McKee Gallery in New York 2010 and during the set up of her show in Cologne where she gave us a very intimate view inside of her works. Many thanks!
