Peter Piller (*1968 in Fritzlar) has been a professor at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf since 2018, where he leads a class in fine art.
While still studying in Hamburg, he began the “Archiv Peter Piller”: he collects thousands of images from magazines, the internet, postcards or aerial photographs and orders and categorises them into series. With a keen eye and subtle humour, he discovers the curious, the serial and the unusual in seemingly banal pictures.
In 99 seconds, IKS presents the exhibition PETER PILLER. there are a couple of things that bother me at Kunsthalle Düsseldorf (11.03.–04.06.2023), his first survey exhibition in the Rhineland.
