Tim Berresheim

Tim Berresheim (*1975 in Aachen) is regarded as a pioneer of computer-aided art. He studied under Albert Oehlen at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf and under Johannes Brus at the HBK Braunschweig.

His works connect art history, technology, science and nature – Berresheim himself calls his method “artistic archaeology of the present”. He works with computer-generated imagery, high-performance photography, laser and 3D scanning, 3D printing and mixed reality. For his laser scans he ventured into the caves of the Swabian Jura, including Hohle Fels and Vogelherd, which are part of the UNESCO World Heritage.

In 99 seconds, IKS presents the exhibition TIM BERRESHEIM. NEUE ALTE WELT at NRW-Forum Düsseldorf (17.02.–26.05.2024).
