Martin Kippenberger




Martin Kippenberger is one of the most important artists of the 80s and 90s.
As a multitalent he created a different works from paintings, installations, performance, sculpture and photographie. He received 1996 the Käthe-Kollwitz-Preis and took part in Documenta X and (posthumously), together with Candida Höfer, at the Venice Biennale.
He belonged to the "New Wild" and worked in the tradition of Dada and Fluxus.
In 2006 Kippenberger had a retrospective at the K21 in Düsseldorf.
